Work in progress... Abba Grebbestads Ansjovis
I have just discovered these beautiful gold and bubblegum pink tins of anchovy style sprat fillets. I think they may be my new favourite tin at the moment. If you would like to order one in time for Christmas do let me know. They are £250.00 each and are sold signed in a white box frame 25cm width x 22.5cm height please e-mail kate@cardigan.ltd.uk or call the studio on 01273 671390 to place an order. As the brand is named ABBA I felt compelled to create a special limited edition version of ABBA the famous swedish foursome featuring Benny, Björn, Frida and Agnetha immortalised in yarn as sprats in a tin (image to be posted soon)

'Kate's Plaice The Stitchmongers' exhibition at The Knitting and Stitching Show
So here are some images from last week as my fish counter installation finally opened at Alexander palace. The counter was greatly admired with thousands of people viewing it each day and hundreds of questions asked.
The top 3 questions most asked were as follows..
1. Question. How long did it take?
Answer. 9 months
2. Question. Why did you make it?
Answer. Why not
3. Question. Is your father a fisherman?
Answer. No
I had a fantastic week pretending to be a fish monger and will be doing it all again next month at The Knitting and Stitching Show, Simmonscourt,RDS, Dublin 12th-15th November 2015
In the meantime here are some images from the show
